Let's Talk Networking
To be honest, networking is not really one of my strengths. This is something I continue to work on. I have made contact with some great publishers and am currently starting to participate in some blog tours which I am excited about. As far as local networking goes, my blog enables me to share good books with the other school librarians in my district. I started out creating lists and emailing them out every couple of months, but I simply didn't have the time to keep doing it. I decided that a blog would allow me to share books one or two at a time, which took a lot less time from my work days. We meet once a month to talk about various issues of concern to the whole group and one of those meetings is devoted to talking about book recommendations. I do so love talking about books.
