With intel leading them to Rome, Paris, London, and Amsterdam, the City Spies split up and race across the continent solving codes and chasing clues in an effort to thwart the attacks. With so many moving parts, the City Spies are going to have pull out all the stops if they have any chance to succeed at this latest mission.
REVIEW
In their seventh adventure as a team, the City Spies find themselves racing to decode secret messages sent by the imprisoned criminal Le Fantome to his cohorts in Umbra, a criminal organization. While adjusting to their new home, the kids also take up spy lessons from their boss at MI6 intended to help them decide if they want to continue to train and work as spies or not. After a mission in Paris goes wrong with devastating consequences, Sydney especially works to prove herself. With plenty of action, interesting sites to explore and coded messages to figure out, the City Spies once again must step up to the challenge before them, before one of their own pays the price. As in the other books in the series, the characters face plenty of obstacles with interesting twists and turns as they try to keep up with Le Fantome and his allies. Interesting facts about different places blend into the story seamlessly. Young fans will be thrilled to discover more volumes to follow in this action-packed series full of friendship, family, and adventure. Highly recommended to young adventure lovers.
