REVIEW

In this entry in the A Might Marvel Team-Up series, Iron Man and Dr. Strange team up to face Gargantos when the alien creature comes to earth to retrieve it's missing children (one-eyed octopus-looking critters). In an effort to prove his technology superior to magic, Iron Man makes a bet with Dr. Strange that whoever gathers up the most of the ten missing alien children wins. The loser has to shave his mustache. The catch? They only have an hour to find the missing children or Iron Man will be eaten by Gargantos. With brief appearances from Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel, Iron Man sets out to find the alien children. Lots of fun details add to the adventure with Iron Man inventing a hovering baby stroller on the spot as well as having to help Ms. Marvel when she gets an alien critter attached to her head. The humorous touches make the book all the more enjoyable. The content is appropriate for young readers used to superhero violence (the most that happens is Iron Man's suit gets beat up and a few trees are uprooted). The minimal text keeps the focus on the graphic panels and the excitement of the story. The bright, appealing art pops off the page making this a book to be read again and again by young Marvel fans. The funny ending is the icing on the cake. Recommended.
