CHRISTMAS/WINTER BOARD BOOKS and EARLY READER: Christmas Puppy/Snoopy's Snow Day/Christmas is Here!

ABOUT THE BOOK

A joyous puppy with a very twitchy tail is looking for the perfect holiday present in this rebarkable Christmas novelty book from award-winning creator Salina Yoon.

Christmas Puppy has a Christmas present under the tree...but which one is it? Help Puppy wag his tail whenever he helps open a new present! With a sturdy pull-tab that wags Puppy’s plush tail, this interactive novelty book is perfect for Christmas stockings.

REVIEW

A cute 10-page board book about a puppy looking for which present under the tree is his.  The first one is for the mouse, the second for hamster, and so on until puppy finds his present.  The book has a pull-tab that allows the young listener or reader to wag the puppy's tail as each present is found.  The pull tab is fun, but for me, Yoon's bright, adorable illustrations are the real strength here.  Those big eyes are hard to resist.  A fun read for young toddlers who love to tug on things.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Join Snoopy and the Peanuts gang for a day of playing in the snow in this adorable shaped board book with foil on the cover!

Snoopy loves winter! He loves ice-skating and playing in the snow with his best friend Woodstock. Inspired by winter-themed Peanuts comic strips, like the time Snoopy hilariously tried to make friends with a snowman, this giftable board book is a perfect stocking stuffer for Peanuts fans of any age!

REVIEW

This rather wordy board book seems more appropriate for slightly older listeners (ages 3-6) unlike many board books.  The reason is the amount of text.  It's a cute story about Snoopy getting attached to a new neighbor (snowman) only to lose him when he melts.  In an effort to make him feel better, Charlie Brown and Lucy build him another one.  Will he have learned his lesson, or will Snoopy get attached to this snowman as well?  For those who are big fans of Peanuts and Snoopy, it's a fun story.  Not great literature perhaps, but cute enough for fans of the characters.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Celebrate the Christmas season with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang in this special Level 2 Ready-to-Read!

Christmas is finally here! This year, Snoopy just wants to spend a peaceful and quiet day with his best friend Woodstock, but people keep interrupting them. Find out how Snoopy gets into the Christmas spirit in this festive Ready-to-Read story!

REVIEW

Snoopy and Woodstock are excited to celebrate the winter holidays with some fun activities.  After planning their activities, they set off to complete them.  But they keep getting interrupted such as when Sally jumps in to add eyes and a nose to their snowman.  Snoopy's frustration builds until he and Woodstock finally just go home and bake cookies.  Having finally having found some peace and quiet, Snoopy realizes that while the quiet is pleasant, he misses having the rest of his friends nearby.  Woodstock sets out to change that.  This early reader book is a cute story about getting along with people when things don't meet our expectations.  It's also a classic Peanuts story.  A fun early reader for Snoopy fans.
