Lists of great reads coming in 2017, along with a giveaway!

Brightly is a fun website designed to encourage book sharing between parents and children and teachers and students.  I have found a number of fabulous lists and ideas on this website.  Here are a few of the most recent lists (I found them intriguing and helpful).  I've also included the link for a giveaway they are running.

2017 boasts new offerings from bestselling authors, funny debuts, poetry collections, inspirational biographies, and much, much more. Highlights include a picture book for younger children from the author of the middle grade phenomenon Wonder, a math-infused bedtime story from actress and mathematician Danica McKellar, and a tale that’s part mystery, part fable, and all fun from award-winning author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Helen Oxenbury.
Check out this list of incredible 2017 middle grade books that Brightly thinks kids will love. Whether they enjoy coming-of-age tales, fantasy, humor, science fiction, history, or adventure, middle grade readers will find plenty of great books to choose from on this list. You’ll learn about a new chapter book series filled with scientific adventure from Bill Nye the Science Guy, a graphic novel written and illustrated by the talented Nathan Hale, a collection of side-splitting stories from 25 female writers and lots more.
There is truly something for every YA reader this year, whether they enjoy things quirky and magical, extra-real real, wild, or world-building. Click through to learn about YA superstar supreme Sarah Dessen’s 13th novel, a new trilogy from Marissa Meyer, new novel by Nina LaCour that is perfect for readers who prefer big feels to big action, and more.
