ABOUT THE BOOK

The four zany Rescue Rabbits invite you to race along with them as they save their fellow animal friends both big and small. From limping elephants to seasick kangaroos, it seems there is no problem they can’t handle. But when the Rescue Rabbits meet a rhino prince with a very unique problem, they will have to put their heads together (in a Rescue Rabbits huddle, of course!) and find a special solution in order to save the day. And that’s just what they will do, because they are…THE RESCUE RABBITS!

“Readers will see in these pages a gentle spoof of cartoons and blockbusters that include endless product tie-ins, but the story also offers an amusing tribute to competency-themed pretend play.” —Publishers Weekly

REVIEW

Ace, Chip, Dot and Spot are the Rescue Rabbits.  They rescue all kinds of animals in trouble, including an elephant with a thorn in it's foot, sick hippos, ducks cross the road, and hungry kangaroos.  From their headquarters they are prepared to answer any call for help.  But even they are challenged when they get a call from Prince Rex the Rhino who is stuck in a tree with ants in his pants and chopsticks up his nose. But using their awesome equipment along with their ingenuity, the Rescue Rabbits find a way to save the day.

The Rescue Rabbits makes for an enjoyable read, especially for young readers who enjoy stories of rescues and problem solving (think Paw Patrol).  Each character is illustrated in a unique way making them easy to tell apart.  The teamwork and determination exhibited by the characters provide a great example for children of persistence and problem-solving.  The illustrations are bright, colorful and eye-catching.  The humor mixed in make the story especially enjoyable.  Recommended.
