REVIEW
The puzzles in Plant Pandemonium present readers with numerous opportunities to practice hand-eye coordination. With 45 challenges on 5 different boards, kids have plenty of room to interact with the book. Each double page spread provides 9 challenges of increasing difficulty with the board containing flaps, sliders, or other movable pieces. The different levels of difficulty allow readers to build their skills as each of the three levels on each spread get increasingly difficult. It did take some work to figure out the flaps on the third spread but kids are likely to figure it out quicker. The puzzles are more than challenging enough to provide plenty of fun for both single or paired readers. This is the kind of book that encourages multiple reading sessions in order to complete all the challenges. The thick pages help the book hold up under heavy use although rips and tears are inevitable with the interactive nature of the book. But hours of puzzling fun will be enjoyed before the book breathes it's last. A fun way for children to practice pattern recognition, motor skills, and problem solving skills. Recommended.
