REVIEW
This cute follow-up to Mary Had a Little Glam sees Mary creating a plan for cleaning up an abandoned lot. First she creates a plan, and then she works her plan with the help of her father and her friends. The combination of rhyming text mixed with fun vocabulary words highlighted with a larger font and colored text makes for fun reading. Brantley-Newton's bright, colorful illustrations full of vim and vigor highlight the enthusiasm and hard work of the children. Not only is this a fun book about the power of design and vision, but it showcases the joy that can be found in community building.
