There are a lot of different versions of The Night Before Christmas, many of which use the original poem by Clement Moore.  But Holub has taken the reader in a whole new direction with her version.  Here we have three knights doing their best to guard the king's castle from invaders, when what should appear but Santa Claus.  Not recognizing him, the knights do their best to drive him away resulting in some rather amusing hijinks.  The play on words and the funny illustrations make for a rather fun read.
