   Review

A funny, yet tender story of a young lady with a blessing that many would consider a curse.  The gift/curse causes people meeting her for the first time to take a dislike to her, except the young or the old.  This gift/curse has provided Treasure with many unique experiences many of them bad but it has also taught her to be persistent. I liked Treasure from the first sentence when she goes to hide in her bathroom to avoid a blind date (a blind date from heck) and has a scraggly cat named Howls. And I love Treasure as a teacher. Working in a school I see every day the impact the teachers have on the students and I admire them for it because it isn't easy.  The way she throws herself completely into whatever she does despite the fact that there is a really good chance that disappointment waits around the corner.

This is a book full of delightful characters and many moments of laughter. Treasure's Grammy is one of those secondary characters who insists on becoming a main character whether you want her to or not.  And I have to say that this is one of the most unusual love stories I have ever read and I loved it. I don't know if it's because it takes place in a school or because the love interest is a lunch 'lady' named Dennis who happens to be a former four star restaurant chef. If you are looking for a fun story with lots of tender smile inducing moments, I highly recommend this one.

Be sure to check out the rest of the tour.

  1. This looks adorable, but I want to know what the gift/curse is! Of course, maybe that's the whole point . . . I need to read the book to find out. :-D
